Commerzbank has been present in the Czech Republic with a branch in Prague since 1992. In 1998 office in Brno was opened. Decades of experience have allowed Commerzbank to gain a true insight into the Czech market, with all its particularities and rules. This in-depth knowledge, combined with our financial expertise, allows us to provide extensive services to both German companies, with presence in the Czech Republic, and international companies with activities in Germany. The importance of the Prague branch within Commerzbank continues to grow. Prague branch was selected as the headquarters for the Commerzbank Group Finance Eurohub, which was founded in 2016.
It mergers the activities of the Bank’s various European locations in the field of finance. Another hub founded in 2017 was Trade Service Hub, which handles client transactions in the area of documentary business and bank guarantees for the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria and Switzerland. Prague branch also became in 2018 the headquarters for the Bank’s Continental Europe Human Resources Hub. In November 2018 the daughter company CommerzSystems, providing IT supplies and solutions, was integrated into the Commerzbank Prague branch, so that Commerzbank Prague currently has more than 500 employees.
